About the Vestry
Far more than just a group that must address the monthly needs of running a church, Trinity's Vestry is a team that works through our needs with love and compassion. Positions become available every January.
The Vestry meets once a month, except for August, and begins its work with a one-day retreat. Our annual retreat is a wonderfully spiritual and community-building event. We begin with Morning Prayer, progress to Noonday Prayer and lunch after which we divide responsibilities for the next twelve months. We finish with Evening Prayer. We also have a lot of fun.
Basically, the Vestry is responsible for the business of running the church; it is the "Board of Directors". Besides the routine discussion of the financial status of Trinity, the monthly meetings consist of an opening prayer circle, reading of the mission statement, committee reports, old business and new business.
